Who Are We?

We were the Guatemalan Government at the beginning of the three "month" process.

Day One

The Army & Wealthy started with 200 MSU's, the Guerillas and USA both started with 60, Current Government had 20, and the Peasants had 0. Opening statements revealed an alliance between USA and the Army & Wealthy giving USA 100 MSU's. Through the day two people were "silenced," Travis and Brandon, both strong political figures of their groups (A&W:Brandon USA:Travis ) The Guatemalan Government signed a minor land reform giving the peasents land to farm hoping for better negoitiations. Then the alliance between the USA and the A&W included the Peasents and all the groups gave thier power to the Peasents

Day Two

I'In the opening statements it was declared by the peasents that they were attempting to get a treaty around to unite all the groups of Guatemala and create the United Guatemalan Republic (UGR). After the statements the Guerillas went on a military offensive that ended in the Peasents gaining 30 MSU's and the Guerillas losing 30.

Day Three

Day three opened with "peaceful' negoitiations. The UGR treaty was signed but in return the USA invaded with military force and killed Chloe, Hayden, and Megan, all of which were political figureheads. Travis was put into place as "president" of Guatemala. The people were upset and hated the US after this very hostile action.

In the End

In the end after four metaphorical years, Travis' tyrannical reign ended and their was a vote. David won with little oppistion. His main, but not very publicly advertised to the US Government, was to plan a revolt and kick the US Government out.

Real Life Translation

I believe the closest event that happened in real life that was close to this simulation was the Soviet takeover of Czechoslovakia in 1968. Like in our scenario, the Soviet Union signed a treaty then came around and invaded. I'm sure the people of Czechoslovakia felt very used and angry when the Soviet Union decided to come in and invade, many "citizens" felt this way also when the US decided to invage Guatemala.
